Description:The HR Assistant handles the day to day administrative processes of the HR office from applicant intake, file management, new hire paperwork and basic orientation. This position also supports the General Manager's administrative project needs. The position has a dual reporting role to both the HR Director in Augusta and the General Manager on property. The candidate must be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing with all levels of the local hotel and the parent company (Augusta Riverfront LLC) Our hotel environment requires business suits. The position must demonstrate leadership in conduct, professionalism and hotel brand culture.

The successful candidate must be detail oriented, posses strong clerical and administrative skills with an accent on thoroughness, accuracy and follow-up. The person must be a strong communicator, be analytical and have problem solving skills with the ability to provide customer service in a fast paced environment.
Duties:-Intake of Applicants
-Keep hiring website updated and recruiting sites supplied with open positions. Attend job fairs as needed. Build network of recruiting sources.
-Intake of employee issues
-New hire paperwork administration
-Benefit administration
-Administer brand training process
-Intake information for leaves of absence
-Worker's compensation administration
-Projects for General Manager as needed
-Audit brand training requirements to ensure property meets expectations.
Qualifications:High school degree required
Formal training beyond high school a plus
HR amdinistrative experience a plus
Advanced computer skills, MS Office, internet searches, data entry.
HR information systems a plus
Administration experience - 3 years
Customer service experience
Professional demeanor, leadership skills
Great communication skills
Good decision maker
Professional attire and presentation
